Baltimore Aircoil Company (BAC) is the industry leading manufacturer of heat transfer and evaporative equipment.  We are a 100% employee-owned global organization headquartered near Baltimore, Maryland.  Our Madera, California location is in search of an energetic, motivated Manufacturing Process Engineer to be responsible for ownership of a manufacturing process across BAC North America's plants. The successful candidate will create, implement and sustain fully engineered processes within their area of influence.  Along with fellow Manufacturing Process Engineers, the group will support value creation efforts by analyzing process performance throughout the factory and developing key metrics to promote process improvement in safety, quality, and production.
The Manufacturing Process Engineer will establish, maintain, and publish process definitions and capabilities for their assigned process and coordinate consistent implementation throughout all of North America.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:
  • Establish, maintain and publish Process capability
  • Establish, maintain and publish work instructions and training plan
  • Provide manufacturing process that meets all design requirements
  • Capital purchases, technology with Process
  • Oversee tooling, fixtures and gages with Process
  • Defines resource management and capacity constraints
  • Oversee Process Control Monitoring
  • Responsible for Continuous Improvement within Process

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Manufacturing or Operations with an emphasis on Continuous Improvement
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing production and information systems and systems implementation
  • Able to influence employees and stakeholders outside their departments, gain buy-in, and successfully lead continuous improvement efforts
  • Understanding of analytics, metric alignment, and their role in continuous improvement
  • Able to both implement and sustain change initiatives
  • Good verbal and written communication skills; capable of presenting his or her ideas to all levels of the organization and other stake holders

A four-year degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering, or other degree with significant coursework in Engineering or Lean principles is required.  Additional training or experience in at least one discipline such as Lean or Six sigma is required.
