Job Description
  • Manage the Human Resource function including team member relations, corrective coaching and counseling, project and change management, etc
  • Manage plant HR processes and tools including labor planning, training needs and strategies to reduce employee turnover and improve the employee experience.
  • Lead and facilitate positive teammate relations through routine contact with teammates
  • Participate in the development and facilitation of plant-wide talent management strategy; Provide guidance regarding career development opportunities; Monitor and improve talent pipeline for critical roles
  • Operate as a trusted advisor to the site leadership team.
  • Provide guidance, coaching and direction to managers, supervisors, and employees on all personnel related issues (e.g., staffing, compensation, benefits, workers’ compensation, coaching, discipline)
  • Effectively manage, communicate, and build relationships with a culturally diverse workforce from plant hourly associates through the plant supervisory and management team.
  • Manage the hiring and selection process for large volume of hourly and salary positions as well as coordination of new hire orientations/onboarding
  • Provides balanced leadership as a member of management as well as an employee advocate.
  • Coach site leadership on the effective use of positive employee relations approaches and practices.
  • 5 - 10 years relevant experience in an HR Generalist role
  • Bachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred.
  • Labor relations experience required
  • Work experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred
  • Ability to effectively communicate and build relationship at all levels within the facility
