Our client is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to assist their customers and support the Sales and Engineering teams.

The Application Engineer is responsible for all application sales, support, and engineering activities related to engineered sales via design houses, national chains, contractors, mechanicals, etc.  In addition, in this role you will create highly technical documentation such as technical presentations, submittal sheet, spec sheets, technical manuals, case studies, engineering specifications, etc.

You will respond to customer questions on the phone or email; create drawings and configuration specifications. To fit this role, you must understand the in-depth working of water heaters and various models and help the customer choose the right model depending the application of hot water usage.

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering; other Engineering disciplines will be considered
  • Understanding and interest in thermodynamics/heat transfer, HVAC systems, and sizing equipment is required. 5 years of experience or more is typically expected for this role.
  • Direct experience in hot water heating and hydronic heating systems is a plus.
  • Must be able to generate building schematics develop energy calculators, and take field measurements
  • Should be knowledgeable in using all data collections equipment, data acquisition tools and standard test procedures to collect data and build case studies 
  • Excellent customer focus to support reps and customers for startup, setup and commissioning of equipment
  • Highly professional communication and writing ability to communicate technical features and value proposition to reps and other sales targets
