Director of Operations
This position offers you a chance increase plant productivity as you capture and execute on improvement opportunities.   This Chicago area senior management role reports directly to the President, giving you an exceptional opportunity to draw on your Lean manufacturing expertise while demonstrating your effectiveness in leadership and relationship building.
Opportunity to:
  • Lead, manage, and develop employees to ensure that the necessary capabilities and culture are in place to maintain a sustainable, effective operation.
  • Think strategically to improve processes and proactively seek to implement changes to optimize productivity and reduce costs.
  • Maintain an organized work environment that ensures the safety of all employees and product quality standards.
  • A minimum of 8 to 10 years of professional experience, including a minimum of 5 to 7 years in a management/ supervisory role leading a manufacturing site.
  • Experience working in a metal fabrication environment
  • Direct experience with production, facilities, supply chain, scheduling and quality functions in a plant environment.
  • Experience and success with process improvements including utilizing disciplines such as Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma
  • Proven collaborative and participative management skills, including building strong teams.
Educational Credentials: A bachelor’s degree, or equivalent from a four-year college or certificate program, required.

Industry Experience: Candidates must have metal fabrication industry experience
