Job Description
 Inventory Manager-Suwanee GA
  • Responsible for inventory control, purchasing, administrative, and office functions of the distribution center.  Also responsible for some functions of packaging.
  • This person will run a team of 10 receivers, 3 inventory control members, and 2 office staff. 
  • Must have good analytics, be able to create dashboards, worked in profiling and slotting, and worked with a high number of sku’s.
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university
  • 7+ years’ experience in warehouse distribution management
  • knowledge of warehouse functions and budgeting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • SAP, MS Office, and Lean experience preferred.
  • Cycle Counting and Reconciliation

  • Customer-facing calls
  • Sales representative inquiries regarding orders and emergency responses

  • Oversees and initiates daily cycle counting through Inventory Control Team, ensuring completeness and accuracy of process.
  • Oversees daily inventory analysis to solve inventory problems.
  • Reconciles inventory variances.
  • Oversees product audits and shipping package audits.
  • Ensures adequate inventory of materials and products in conjunction with Corporate Inventory Team.
  • Recommends measures to improve methods, performance and quality of service.  Suggests changes in working conditions to increase efficiency.
  • Works to provide internal and external auditors with any information required.
  • Ensures policies and procedures are in place and followed for a safe environment.
  • Responsible for the inbound put-away team to ensure products are put away correctly and timely.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as effective listening skills.
  • Able to lead and influence others to achieve the business objectives.  Able to lead meetings to provide feedback, goals and operational updates.
  • Able to think strategically and make fact-based decisions in a timely manner with limited information and a rapid assimilation of the facts.
  • Able to analyze data with an operational understanding to identify, prevent, and solve problems.
  • Able to create and interpret production reports to discover trends.
  • Strong project management skills with competency in developing and executing business plans.  Able to multi-task, coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Detailed oriented with the ability to understand the operational drivers of the our business, our products, and the appropriate staffing levels, with a thorough understanding of all distribution operations and packaging kitting activities.
  • Computer skills with a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office. SAP WM/MM highly desired. Warehouse Management System (WMS)/ Transportation Management System (TMS) knowledge a plus.
  • Experience with lean processes or Six Sigma certification preferred.
