Your unique role with the company:
While reporting to the Silanes Technology Manager this will be a key member of the Technology team within the Silanes Global Business Unit.  You will lead a team of high-performing chemists, material scientists and engineers in the design and development of innovative new product technologies for the Tire & Rubber Industry. The main focus will be on passenger or truck tires. You will work closely with the technical marketing team and with the customers’ tire technologists in order to understand, address, and solve their needs. While using DOE to accomplish technical goals based on expertise in network chemistry, polymer interactions, and the influence of processing on compound properties. You will have close collaboration with global marketing and business functions.

What we are looking for in a Candidate:
  •  Ph.D. in Chemistry or similar study
  • Experience in use of Silica and Silanes in rubber compounds
  • Extensive knowledge of chemistry and mechanisms, plus physical interactions that influence rubber compound properties.
  • Proficient in basic statistics and DOE
  • Ability to work with all levels of an organization and communicate clearly with customers
