Currently looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join an ever-expanding prominent consumer products manufacturer in Sidney, OH, just north of Dayton.   This is a family friendly, well-established, expanding company, a global leader in its product line.

The Manufacturing Engineer plans, designs, and supports manufacturing processes in industrial plant. Maximize efficiency by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization. Determine parts and tools needed in order to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specification. 
  • Create, implement, maintain and improve capable production processes, methods and sequences to achieve safety, quality, throughput and cost targets. 
  • Develop and maintain production standards using work measurement techniques such as time/motion studies, work content studies, and line-balancing.
  • Analyze production costs to identify and implement improvement efforts.
  • Conduct make vs buy evaluations to identify cost reduction opportunities.
  • Creates and maintains manufacturing documentation as required by operating procedures.
  • Work with Production Associates and Manufacturing Supervisors to identify, prioritize, and quickly resolve potential safety and ergonomic risks in the manufacturing process to insure a safe work environment.
  • Creates new ISO compliant processes, procedures, and systems as corrective action or for continuous improvement.
  • Participate in Simultaneous Engineering to assure manufacturability and cost effectiveness.
  • Bachelor Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3-6 years of experience in similar role and environment.
  • Experience with assembly line processes including automation.
  • Progressive and proven experience with Lean principles and continuous improvement skills.
  • Experience successfully managing capital projects.
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Proven ability to influence without authority.
  • Proven problem solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to work independently and is self-motivated
