Responsible for development of all new production products.  The Process Engineer will be responsible for all tooling checks and pre-production runs and relative documentation in collaboration with Product Engineering. 
Responsible for pre-production manufacturing molding specifications.  Develops processes that focus on quality on-time delivery. 
Create equipment specifications, order and coordinate the installation of equipment.

  • Works collaboratively to develop products and processes to match production values.
  • Maintains a high degree of testing capability to complement development and customer requirements.
  • Applies sound and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields. 
  • Establish process flows and standards for operations to manufacturing.
  • Monitor non-conforming rate by part and process with a goal of reducing non-value added operations.
  • Develop and maintain project list and activity log while working to improve and support daily production requirements.
  • Support tool and sample reviews including validation processes.
  • Process improvements, i.e. scrap reduction, throughput improvements.
  • Coordinate equipment upgrades as part of process improvements, safety concerns or customer complaints. Sample/prototype process
  • New launch support, problem solving, documentation, i.e. Work instructions, PFMEAs, product flow, etc.
  • B.S. in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering preferred
  • Ability to understand the technical aspect of the written specifications involving molding process design and application.
  • Experience with molded production parts and processes.
  • Perform routine project engineering work requiring applications of standard techniques, procedures in carrying out efficient sequence of production engineering tasks.
  • Ability in making preliminary selections and adaptations of design, process or production perimeters.
  • Ability to read blueprints and use measuring equipment as needed.
  • Lean System/Kaizen/Six Sigma experience. ISO/TS 16949 desired.
