Process Engineer Plastic Packaging – Six Sigma

Company: Our client is privately held and been in business for over several decades and truly been known as a pioneer to innovations in the food packaging space.  Their dedication to R&D, quality, and the expectations and needs of their customers is why they continue to be one of the best in the industry. They are growing by double digits every year and still investing back into the organization, recently a million-dollar investment into their R&D team. This organization is looking to the future of manufacturing and how to stand out from the rest through their “best in class” products and by staying focused on delivering world class manufacturing processes, systems, and quality excellence.

They appreciate their employees by:
  • Offering rewarding base salaries, benefits, growth and giving you additional tool and skills by investing in your future.
  • They value empowerment and allow you to truly be the owner of your business and department.
As the Process Engineer, you will responsible for providing engineering support and plastic process development.  Support the launch of new products and drive continuous improvement throughout the facility – increase production, reduce scrap, and many other cost saving solutions. You will lead cross functional teams to manage projects, improve quality and lead Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement events. This role is going to have a lot of decision making power and they are looking for a true problem solver, someone who can deliver results!

To be successful in this role:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or similar
  • 1+ years’ experience in process engineering in a plastics environment – preferably to packaging (blow molding, thermoforming, injection molding, sheet extrusion)
  • Strong communication skills from the top down and being able to address a team
  • Proven troubleshooter and problem solver
  • Project Management skills and adhering to a strict timeline
  • Six Sigma certifications a plus (SSGB, SSBB, LEAN, or CI)
My client is bursting at the seams in growth, and with manufacturing sights across the country, we are looking for problem solvers in several locations! West Coast, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, and more.
