Production Supervisor -- Bachelor Degree -- experience in any industry can qualify -- $60-70,000 -- W. Chicago area
Food manufacturing facility located in the Western suburbs of Chicago area has a need for a 2nd shift Production Supervisor due to retirement
Our client is looking for less than 10 years of experience, someone that is looking for expansive responsibilities and grow their career

Seeking Local candidates. No sponsorship is not available
Supervise plant production line workers with an emphasis on teamwork, safety and excellent practices to produce the highest quality products
Manage a team of 20-30 hourly employees across multiple departments and lines
Utilize lean and six-sigma principles to implement continuous improvement methodologies to increase production
Maintain production records in MS Excel and ensure production workers are completing records correctly and in a timely manner.
Analyze production runs and make suggestions for improvement
Manage, evaluate and train staff by coaching, conducting performance appraisals, administering corrective action, and training
Identify issues related to quality, safety, down time, production problems or any other unexpected issues.
Bachelor's degree required. Prefer in Operations Management, Organizational Leadership, Business, Engineering or similar
3-4 years manufacturing supervision experience, open to any industry
Experience with lean manufacturing, 5S, six-sigma or other continuous improvement tools
Former military veterans is a plus
Good attitude, hard working, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to think outside the box and use root cause analysis to solve problems
Able to work in a high-speed facility with the capability of tracking KPI's, efficiencies and implementing lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies
Computer literate in spreadsheet and word applications
