APPLICATIONS ENGINEER - REFRIGERATION SYSTEMS

OVERVIEW
Design, develop and provide quotes of complex commercial refrigeration systems by working directly with customers to identify needs and propose solutions.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
* Identify current and future customer requirements by establishing personal rapport
* Provide product, service or equipment technical and engineering information to customers
* Prepare cost estimates by studying blueprints, plans and related customer documents
* Consult with engineers, architects, and other professionals to meet customers objectives
* Document customer specifications and design requirements through accurate equipment application, selection and configuration
* Determine improvements in customer specifications and requirements by analyzing cost-benefit ratios of equipment, supplies, or service applications
* Gain customer acceptance by explaining or demonstrating cost reductions and operations improvements
* Support customers and consulting engineers by providing technical information and training Comply with all federal, state and local legal requirements
* Maintain continuing professional and technical education
* Provide guidance and training to others as needed
* Work as a team member to achieve company goal and objectives
* Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
> BS Engineering plus 4 years of experience in project and application engineering in refrigeration related products OR
> 2 year Engineering Degree plus 7 years of experience in project and application engineering in refrigeration related products
> Broad knowledge of products, refrigeration industry policies and procedures
> Working knowledge of IT solutions for engineering discipline
> Proficient with AutoCAD, MS Office products; 3D software (SolidWorks) a plus
> MUST HAVE excellent positive oral and written communication skills
> MUST be able to multi-task and manage several complex projects at the same time
> MUST possess good judgment, creativity in providing solutions and leadership abilities
> Self-starter, can work independently or as a team member
> Travel 20-30%
