We are seeking an experienced Film Manufacturing Engineer to play an integral part in our division specializing in Automotive, Appliances, Digital Markets and targets many diverse applications including UL and FDA. We provide high-performance sheet and film products used in thousands of applications worldwide. Some of the industries we are used in are Aerospace, Automotive, Construction, Medical, Printing and Telecommunications. This person will be our technical expert on polycarbonate film so we are seeking someone who is a technical expert and practical as well; someone who knows the field technically but is also hands on and knows the equipment, process engineering, materials, etc. to raise our capabilities. The right person could become the technical lead for film production for our worldwide operations. Duties:
Provide technical expertise/leadership in polycarbonate film manufacturing
Provide operational/process leadership for manufacturing operations
Work closely with the technology, commercial & customer teams to transition development products to Six Sigma manufacturing capability
Identify/lead initiatives to improve quality & enhance customer value/product position
Drive asset utilization & improve overall service performance by leading plant flexibility/capability improvements
Meet program and/or operating plan metrics
Requirements:
BS in Engineering
At least 5 years of film manufacturing experience, preferably in the plastics industry
Experience with extruded film (not blown film), polycarbonate film, thin film or optical film manufacturing
Six Sigma MAIC/DFSS trained;
Green Belt Certified & Black Belt Certified desired
Lean Manufacturing experience desired
