Multi-site international company is seeking a Die Shop Manager for one of their North American locations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
** Supervise Die Technicians and Tool Servicers
** Ensure Die Shop operations and output meet or exceed requirements
** Participate in pre-sales meetings by providing input on plant capability
** Interact with customers in a technical capacity as necessary
** Order new dies, support tooling, press tooling & die shop supplies etc
** Maintain inventory of dies and tooling
** Continuous improvement of die shop and extrusion operations, including the vendor rating program.
QUALIFICATIONS
** Minimum of 5 yrs experience in aluminum extrusions with emphasis on extrusion die operation.
** Aluminum extrusion die repair/correction experience or formal training in machine tool technology
** Understanding of quality programs required for maintenance of ISO 9002 certification
** Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications
** Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
