Environmental Health & Safety Manager

A Successful Manufacturing Company with over $3B in Revenues, has a new opening for an Environmental Health & Safety Manager.

The Environmental Health & Safety Manager will Plan, direct, and manage safety, health and environmental programs for 2 plants near Birmingham, AL. In this role the main goal will be to evaluate the EH&S program and dramatically improve it. In addition, you will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety, health and environmental regulations, submit required safety and environmental reports (internal and external), coordinate activities with corporate environmental management consulting group, develop and provide safety, health and environmental training to employees within the plant.

Requirements:

Working knowledge of hazardous materials, including hazardous waste, asbestos and other hazardous pollutants.
Must have a BS Degree, preferable in Safety and Health or Environmental Management.
Experience inspecting for hazardous materials and understanding processes which can produce hazardous wastes and hazardous air pollutants.
Knowledge and experience with OSHA compliance.
