Profession: Manufacturing/Production Engineering
Experience: 3 years minimum
Education: Bachelors Degree
Key Skills: Knowledge and understanding of ProE, CAD, familiar with injection molding, coordinate/direct/plan manufacturing quality control and production evaluation, coordinate/implement capital improvement projects on current and future products, review new product designs for manufacturability.
Will report to Lead Mechanical Engineer.
Engineering Degree BSME, BSIE or equivalent preferred. A minimum of three years of experience with hands on production/manufacturing engineering is required. Knowledge of bills of material, manufacturing procedures, tooling/fixture design, etc. is required. Must possess good mechanical abilities with excellent design practices. Must be PC literate and have a strong CAD background. Basic understanding of electronics and ability to read schematics is a plus.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
· Identify and develop all production, assembly and test processes and procedures.
· Provide assurance that all products are produced in the most economically proficient manner.
· Define and adhere to product quality characteristics and considerations.
· Identify and drive opportunities for improved production operations with respect to safety, productivity, quality, yield, cost, process capability, and cycle time.
· Identify and work with internal and external resources to resolve quality issues.
· Supervise daily activities and development of process technicians.
· Accountable for maintenance, improvement, documentation and archiving of all lab procedures and data.
· Develop action plans to manage improvement and efficiency of lab.
Work with mechanical/electrical engineers to develop a deep understanding of products and R&D projects in order to implement quality control and production evaluation procedures.
