DescriptionNewly created position in a growing DOD/Naval contractor. the Senior Scheduler will create Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), integrate MRP and develop master facility schedule. Candidate MUST HAVE Primavera Scheduling software experience, have worked in government contracting with EVMS reporting and be able to demonstrate cost management accomplishments. Client Corporation is manufacturing cutting edge, state of the art vessels, for the Dept of Defense and has signed two large contracts with two more due by year-end 2009. Growth with promotion is on a fast track of less than 2 years for this position. Position will supervise up to 5 schedulers.


AUTHORITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Creates Work Breakdown Structure.
Identifies, sequences, and links construction activities in accordance with established build strategies.
Populates schedule with labor and material budgets and resources.
Must be able to run schedule health metrics that will suffice government audit.
Integrate all aspects of the program from engineering, Material Requirements Planning (MRP), and production to testing, final acceptance, and delivery.
Supports the development of detailed work packages for distribution to production for implementation.
Progresses schedules on a weekly basis, analyzes performance, conducts critical path analysis and leads efforts to address deviations to baseline, as required.
Develops and maintains an integrated master facility schedule.
Develops progress reports for programs that detail actual and projected cost and schedule performance, resource requirements and earned value.
Resolves problems and assesses progress against established plans and budgets.
Formulates and recommends corrective action measures such as schedule revisions, manpower adjustments, fund allocations, and work requirements.
Supports the implementation of Lean Manufacturing.

QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE:
Comprehensive knowledge, experience and proficiency with Primavera Scheduling Software.
Experience and proficiency with Cost Manager and wInsight.
Experience with CPR reporting Format 1- 5.
Familiarity with MILL 881 Handbook.
Familiarity with EVMS ANSI-748A.
Proficient in Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and performance measurement techniques.
Experience with Government contracts.
Computer literate utilizing all Microsoft Office applications.
High School or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) and a minimum of five (5) years related experience in related manufacturing industry required. College degree and shipbuilding industry experience preferred.
Process-oriented, customer service-driven, problem solver, self-starter, team player, who is energized in a changing, fast-paced environment.
Effective communication skills to facilitate team work with various departments.
Computer literate utilizing all Microsoft Office applications.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing a plus.
