Description DIRECTOR OF ADVANCED MANUFACTURING MAINTENANCE



SUMMARY
Develop and implement standardized maintenance policies and procedures for all aspects of manufacturing. Sets strategic goals for the equipment and tooling maintenance departments.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Develops and heads program for equipment rebuilds.
Compile operational records, inventory data, repair and maintenance statistics and test results.
Develops a standardized preventive maintenance program in conjunction with engineering, maintenance staff and operations.
Plans, develops, and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs.
Reviews new product plans and discusses equipment needs and modifications with members of management and engineering.
Recommends measures to improve operations and conditions of machinery and equipment.
From a corporate wide perspective, conducts or arranges for worker training in safety, repair and maintenance techniques, operational procedures or equipment use.
Develops a system to audit results of maintenance systems.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate will excel at planning, organization and time management skills. A degree in a related field of industrial maintenance or engineering is desired, along with a minimum of 10 years of direct maintenance management experience over multiple site locations. However, any combination of education, training or experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties will be considered in lieu of a degree. A background in manufacturing methods, process improvement programs and procedures is required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization are critical. A demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others is a must. Must possess a strong customer orientation and commitment to company mission, vision and values.
