DescriptionA growing DOD/Naval contractor needs an Engineering Scheduler to create detailed Engineering Schedules, integrate MRP and develop corrective action measures. Candidate MUST HAVE Primavera Scheduling software experience, have worked with EVMS reporting and two years experience as a scheduler. Client Corporation is manufacturing cutting edge, state of the art vessels, for the Dept of Defense and has signed two large contracts with two more due by year-end 2009.


AUTHORITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supports the development of detailed engineering schedules
Identifies, sequences, and links engineering activities in accordance with
established build strategies and project milestones.
Develops resource loaded engineering schedules (utilizing Primavera) that
are level loaded.
Progresses schedules on a weekly basis, analyzes performance, conducts
critical path analysis and leads efforts to address deviations to baseline,
as required.
Develops, creates and tracks engineering performance metrics.
Assists in the development of corrective action measures such as
schedule revisions, manpower adjustments, fund allocations, and work
requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE:

Experience with cost and resource loaded Critical Path Method (CPM)
scheduled on large scale engineering products utilizing Primavera
scheduling software.
Knowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and performance
measurement techniques preferred.
Bachelor degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or
equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional
experience.
Knowledge of Master Production Schedule (MPS) and MRP systems
preferred.
Process oriented, customer service driven, problem solver, self-starter,
team player, who is energized in a changing, fast paced environment.
Effective communication skills to facilitate team work with various
departments and effect customer satisfaction with internal and external
customers.
Computer literate utilizing all Microsoft Office applications.
Experience with Government contracts a plus.
Experience in Lean Manufacturing a plus.
