DescriptionManufacturing operation in the Metro Cedar Rapids, Iowa area is seaching for Manufacturing Engineers. Client company, experiencing growth in todays economy, is searching for engineers who have deomonstrated progressive growth during their careers. Manufacturing lead for new model projects to meet business deliverables (finance, quality, fabrication, assembly, operations, etc.). Serve as point of reference for all mega/major project updates to operations staff as well as maintaining the communication boards. Responsible for supporting daily manufacturing operations (assembly equipment, packaging, material handling, fixtures, and business processes). Manage pilot projects (document issues, materials, etc.) and required follow up documentation. Responsible for PPAP for new parts. Safety, quality, cost, and delivery improvement initiatives. Determining root cause of problems and implementing corrective & preventative actions. Performing Lean Sigma project work, and implementing Lean Manufacturing methodology throughout area of responsibility. Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent. 2-7 years related experience preferred, including experience in Lean Manufacturing Methods. Strong project management experience. Understanding and working knowledge of statistics and quality control measures and methods. PC proficiency utilizing MS Office and MS Project. Communication and support to 24-hour / day assembly processes.
