§ Create algorithms for sensor fusion and emergency braking decision making.
§ Evaluate existing algorithms.
§ Create proprietary fusion and braking decision algorithms in Matlab/Simulink.
§ Create software requirements.
§ Requirements (clear, precise, unambiguous, easy to read) and exceptions (acquisition):
o Design description
o System Test plan
o Test algorithms in vehicle
§ Maintain an up-to-date list of engineering risks. Elevate risks soon enough to apply corrective action.
§ Identify innovative solutions and support legal staff in patent application drafting.
REQUIREMENTS
§ 5+ years experience in chassis control and active safety system development.
§ Familiar with fusion and brake decision algorithm development.
§ Familiar with OEM requirements and competitive landscape of active safety systems, specifically radar/vision sensor fusion systems/collision avoidance.
§ Demonstrated success in technical program management role.
§ Self-Motivated: Thrives on bringing structure to a highly unstructured task. Ability to see the technical direction and guide a team towards it long before others can.
§ Excellent communication skills. Can write precise technical requirements that are easy to understand for electrical, mechanical and software engineers. Good understanding of all engineering disciplines.
§ Diligent: Can extract and structure common requirements from different customer documents having hundreds of pages.
§ Experienced in use of requirements management tools. Familiar with concepts such as baselining, inheritance, etc.
§ Leadership skills: Can effectively lead an engineering team, challenge team members where necessary and motivate team to provide excellent results.
QUALIFICATIONS
§ MS in electrical engineering or computer science, BS minimum
§ Familiar with sensor fusion concepts, filter design / programming
§ Familiar with radar sensors
§ Familiar with machine vision system, Dspace experience a must
